Privacy Policy

Dewfall Lantern is a cozy puzzle game. We built it to collect as little data as possible.
What we collect
- No account. The game requires no sign-up and no sign-in. We do not ask for your real name, email, contacts, location, or photos.
- Anonymous leaderboard scores. When you complete a daily puzzle without hints, the app sends your solve time together with a randomly generated device identifier (a random UUID created on your device) to our leaderboard service (hosted on Supabase, EU region). This identifier is not linked to you and cannot identify you. It is used only to rank daily solve times.
- Display name. Each player gets a randomly generated nickname (for example “Moonlit Willow”). You can change it in Settings. Your display name is shown publicly next to your time on the daily leaderboard, so please don't put personal information in it. Names are screened automatically for offensive content, both on your device and on our server.
- Invite code. If you use the invite-a-friend feature, we store a short random code linked to your device identifier so both sides can receive their reward. It contains nothing personal.
- Purchases. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Local data. Your progress (levels, streaks, coins, settings) is stored on your device only.
What we don't do
- No advertising SDKs, no cross-app tracking, no analytics profiles.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
Data retention & deletion
Leaderboard entries are kept while the game runs so past days can still be ranked. They contain only a random identifier, a display name and solve times.
You can delete everything yourself, at any time: open Settings → Data → Delete my data in the app. This immediately erases your leaderboard entries, your display name and your invite code from our server, clears your local progress, and issues your device a new random identifier. It cannot be undone. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID rather than to us, so they remain restorable with “Restore purchases”.
You can also write to guvenser09@gmail.com and we will remove your data for you. Deleting the app removes all local data.
Reporting an offensive display name
Display names are screened automatically, but if you see one that slipped through, email guvenser09@gmail.com. We review reports and remove offending names within 24 hours.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages. We ask no one, including children, for personal information. The only thing a player can type is a leaderboard display name, which is screened for offensive content and can be deleted at any time from Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
